Teachers Love Norwex

It’s that time of year again. Teachers glance back longingly at their carefree summer days…(well, maybe less longingly if they were filled with a part-time job to make ends meet). However they spent their summer they are all focused on the new school year: new kids, new supplies, perhaps a new administration, definitely new parents, and all those germ-laden hands all over their desks! Is it any wonder they love Norwex?

Alternatives to Harsh Chemicals

As more and more people are becoming aware that the harsh chemicals in our standard cleaning sprays are not good for our bodies, our environment, or our kids – as well as just not being effective at eliminating bacteria by the way they are commonly used, alternatives are being actively sought. Norwex is a leader in this area as they have developed a microfiber so fine and absorbent that it can remove up to 99% of bacteria and grime off a surface when used and cared for properly. Having such a product at their disposal is great for teachers. They may not have any control over how the classrooms are cleaned once they leave for the day, but they certainly can reduce the amount of bacteria and grime they are exposed to during the day as all those hands touch the desk and virtually everything else.

I wish I had known about Norwex when my own mother was teaching preschool. She was the Pied Piper of preschool kids. Adored by the kids, she loved them just as much. She taught most years in a cooperative preschool. If you are not aware of cooperative preschools, the concept is pretty cool. Parents make up the board of the school (including the hiring of the teacher and securing of funds and classroom). Tuition is relatively low because no assistant teachers are required. Instead, each parent is required to serve a certain number of days in the classroom each year. They learn their children’s friends, new concepts in early childhood education, and generally have fun getting to share that time with their child every month. My mom was a big champion of early childhood education and exposing the parents to good information on many topics. As used to using her cleaning sprays as she was, an alternative that was safer for everyone – kids and adults – would have definitely piqued her interest.

Great Norwex Products for Teachers and the Classroom

Norwex Products for Healthy Teachers
These products are needed in the classroom.

Here is a list of products that any teacher could definitely make use of in their classroom:

Body Cloth (to do a quick wipe down and feel fresh at lunchtime and before they go home)

Odor Eliminator (An enzyme-based, organic odor-remover that can be sprayed in the air, around or on the source of the odor.  Odour Eliminator works to remove the source of the odor, rather than simply masking it.)

Freshener Bags (Stick them anywhere that odor tends to gather – shoes, lockers, desk)

Fragrance Disc (put a few drops of your favorite essential oil on it and put it on your desk for an immediate mood lifter or calming effect)

Travel Pack (5 travel size Envirocloths perfect for carrying back and forth to school and wiping down virtually EVERY surface)

Optic Scarf (Scratch-resistant and chemical free way to keep glasses, iphones and jewelry clean)

Reusable Wet Wipes Bag (Perfect for carrying wet envirocloths and body cloths home for laundering)

Straw Cleaning Brush (If she keeps a water bottle at school with a reusable straw, a straw cleaning brush will make sure it stays fresh and clean)

Share a little love with your kids’ teachers and share some Norwex solutions for their daily challenges. My parents were both teachers and so I definitely know how hard they work – long after the school day is done.
